Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>The Meteorological Services Department (MSD) has advised the public of the development of a low-pressure atmospheric system over the country on Wednesday, 29 June that will last until Saturday, 02 July 2022.<\/p>\n

In an advisory on Monday, the MSD said light rains and windy conditions are expected throughout the period. Said MSD:<\/p>\n

A low-pressure system in the rain-inducing levels of the atmosphere, meteorologically referred to as a cut-off low, is developing over Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n

It is expected to draw in and circulate moisture within its proximity.<\/p>\n

This should be coupled with relatively cold south-easterly winds on the southeast coast of Southern Africa.<\/p>\n

MSD further advised the public to watch out for rain, cold, windy and cloudy conditions, and small pellets of hailstones (often mistaken as snow), especially in localised areas over higher ground.<\/p>\n
