{"id":63747,"date":"2022-08-02T18:48:51","date_gmt":"2022-08-02T16:48:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/ztv-to-broadcast-live-english-premier-league-matches"},"modified":"2022-08-02T21:07:36","modified_gmt":"2022-08-02T19:07:36","slug":"ztv-to-broadcast-live-english-premier-league-matches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.cc\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/ztv-to-broadcast-live-english-premier-league-matches","title":{"rendered":"ZTV To Broadcast Live English Premier League Matches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has secured rights to broadcast live English Premier League (EPL) matches on ZBCtv starting on Saturday, 6 August 2022.<\/p>\n<p>ZBC has entered into a partnership with Simuka Corporation which will see ZBCtv broadcasting one EPL match every other Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Acting Director Television Services and Digital Platforms, Merit Munzwembiri, said:<\/p>\n<p>We are pleased to announce that we have exciting times coming ahead starting this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>We will be, as ZBC bringing you the EPL- English Premier League every other Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>This is a partnership we entered into with our partner from South Africa, Simuka Football.<\/p>\n<p>The excitement around it is that it will be on ZBCTV, but also live streaming on that digital platform called Simuka Football.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be an exciting fantasy league for all those fans who are critics, who look at the coaches and their failures and want to believe that they also have an opportunity to set up their own teams and play.<\/p>\n<p>This league will also be featured on ZBCTV in programmes that you will see like EPL ZONE.<\/p>\n<p>Simuka Corporation Chief Executive Officer, Mathew Ponde also confirmed the development. He said:<\/p>\n<p>We are partnering with ZBC to provide free-to-air English Premier League. Free to air is the league\u2019s way of making sure that every man in the street can have access without having to pay premium prices to get access to it.<\/p>\n<p>Soccer fans in Africa and everywhere else in the world are changing the way they consume their passion.
