Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Secessionist Mthwakazi Republic Party (MRP) leader, Mqondisi Moyo, has suggested that Vice President Constantino Chiwenga is crazy for claiming that he and President Emmerson Mnangagwa have roots in Matabeleland.<\/p>\n

He said they would not have been involved in the Gukurahundi massacres in which approximately 20 000 people were killed in Midlands and Matabeleland by the North Korean-trained Fifth Brigade in the aftermath of independence. NewZimbabwe quotes Moyo as saying:<\/p>\n

The spirits of over 40,000 people they massacred during Gukurahundi now making them go insane.<\/p>\n

Why would both Chiwenga and Mnangagwa, as the nephews of Mthwakazi, kill their uncles?<\/p>\n

Both of them Mnangagwa and Chiwenga), as the murderers of our people, are shedding crocodile tears on our people.<\/p>\n

They are making Mthwakazi their playing ground. Why is it every time they say these sentiments when they are in Mthwakazi?\u201d<\/p>\n

They can\u2019t utter such nonsense in Mashonaland because they never perpetrated the Genocide that side.<\/p>\n

Addressing his in-laws last week, Chiwenga claimed that his great grandmother was one of King Mzilikazi\u2019s many wives. He also claimed that Mnangagwa\u2019s grandfather, Mubengu, was taken when he was a little boy by Mzilikazi and was kept at the royal kraal until he was put in the Mbizo regiment.<\/p>\n

Ousted Ntabazinduna Chief, Nhlanhlayamangwe Ndiweni said the two political elites\u2019 actions suggest that they do not have royal links. He said:<\/p>\n

Their joint acts and actions (make a nonsense of) the claim that they have royal links to the Khumalos, because many of the things that they have done are contradictory to the house of Khumalo.<\/p>\n

You cannot have such a noble bloodline and yet when it comes to an opportunity of reassuring that bloodline, you reject it.<\/p>\n

Mnangagwa was state security minister while Chiwenga was head of the Bulawayo-based One Brigade when the late former President Robert Mugabe authorised a military campaign in Midlands and Matabeleland to \u201cflush out dissidents\u201d.<\/p>\n

Matabeleland activist group Ibhetshu LikaZulu leader, Mbuso Fuzwayo said Chiwenga\u2019s remarks were an attempt to divert the nation from national issues.<\/p>\n
