Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Economic Empowerment Group (EEG) president, Mike Chimombe, reportedly forked out US$2 000 to buy a CD of musician Andy Muridzo\u2019s latest album titled \u201cZunza\u201d.<\/p>\n

The album was launched at Bar Rouge last Friday where Chimombe was the guest of honour at the event.<\/p>\n

Chimombe encouraged Muridzo to maintain high standards and also urged musicians to diversify and find other avenues of generating money.<\/p>\n

Muridzo, whose real name Kudzai Andrew Ngwenya, said he was humbled by Chimombe\u2019s love for his band and music. He said:<\/p>\n

I\u2019m humbled by the gesture which shows that he is indeed a brother and loving man.<\/p>\n

I first met him in 2017 and from there he has been buying music.<\/p>\n

He is one person who has been supporting me privately.<\/p>\n

When we invited him, we were shocked by his humility since he said he was available.<\/p>\n

People of Chimombe\u2019s calibre are hard to come by judging by their demanding schedules.<\/p>\n

It was an honour having him around as he supported us on my special day.<\/p>\n

Muridzo\u2019s manager, Ronald \u201cGeneral\u201d Mujuru, thanked fans for their support and pledged that the band will ensure that it will continue to meet their varied tastes. He said:<\/p>\n

We tried our best to make sure that we give our fans variety so that they get to enjoy themselves.<\/p>\n

As we promised, we fused a number of genres, including gospel, jiti, rhumba and museve in this album.<\/p>\n

The album comes with 12 tracks, plus a bonus one. Some of the trending tracks are \u201cNeni\u201d, \u201cShoko Remufi\u201d, \u201cPlace Out There\u201d, \u201cChatamba Chana\u201d, \u201cHwahwa\u201d, \u201cNyakasikana\u201d and \u201cMwana Uyu\u201d.<\/p>\n
