Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Jailed CCC vice chairman and Zengeza West MP, Job Sikhala, has reportedly fallen sick while detained at Chikurubi Maximum Prison.<\/p>\n

Renowned journalist and documentary filmmaker, Hopewell Chin\u2019ono said Sikhala\u2019s lawyer, Beatrice Mtetwa, asked to call a private doctor to attend to the politician who was vomiting. Chin\u2019ono tweeted on Sunday:<\/p>\n

Job Sikhala\u2019s lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa has received a call from Chikurubi prison asking her to urgently get a doctor for the political prisoner and MP.<\/p>\n

His wife confirmed to me that she also got a call letting her know that Sikhala is vomiting, she is now on her way to prison.<\/p>\n

In another tweet, Chin\u2019ono said Sikhala was suffering from vomiting and diarrhoea and was unable to walk. He said:<\/p>\n

I have just spoken to Job Sikhala\u2019s wife. She was not able to see the political prisoner at Chikurubi because he is too weak to walk.<\/p>\n

A doctor hasn\u2019t attended to him yet. She said he is vomiting and suffering from severe diarrhoea. She saw his co-accused, Godfrey Sithole.<\/p>\n

Sikhala has been in pre-trial detention for almost three months over charges of inciting violence and obstructing the course of justice.<\/p>\n

He has repeatedly been denied bail by both Magistrate Court and the High Court.<\/p>\n
