Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>FC Platinum (FCP) will be officially crowned 2021-2022 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions in their last match of the season.<\/p>\n

The Zvishavane-based club will host Cranborne Bullets at Mandava Stadium in their final match of the season, possibly on 12 November.<\/p>\n

FCP will be crowned PSL champions for the fourth time in a row after clinching the league titles in 2019, 2018, and 2017.<\/p>\n

There were no league matches in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

PSL spokesperson Kudzai Bare on Tuesday confirmed that Pure Platinum Play will be presented with the league trophy on Match Day 34. She said:<\/b><\/p>\n

We will do the trophy presentation on the final day of the matches; that is Match Day 34.<\/p>\n

FC Platinum was on Saturday, 22 October confirmed as the PSL champions for the 2021\/22 season without kicking the ball on Matchday 31.<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s title triumph was confirmed after both Chicken Inn and Dynamos failed to win on Friday and Saturday, respectively, on Matchday 31.<\/p>\n

DeMbare, who are second on the log standings, lost 0-1 to Bulawayo City, while third-placed Gamecocks played a goalless draw against Herentals.<\/p>\n

The results maintained FC Platinum\u2019s 11-point lead before they played their matchday 31 game against CAPS United.<\/p>\n

With three games left for Dynamos and Chicken Inn, the gap is now unassailable for the two teams.<\/p>\n

FC Platinum\u2019s fourth successive league equals Highlanders and Dynamos\u2019 record for most successive league titles in the Premier Soccer League era.<\/p>\n
