Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>An Epworth woman was recently sentenced to a wholly suspended 16 months imprisonment by a magistrate after she poured boiling water on her husband\u2019s genitals, accusing him of cheating.<\/p>\n

The woman recently appeared before Harare Magistrate Stanford Mambanje, who found her guilty of assault.<\/p>\n

Mambanje sentenced the accused to a wholly suspended 16 months imprisonment. Eight months were suspended on condition of good behaviour.<\/p>\n

The other eight months were set aside on condition that she performs 280 hours of community service at Epworth Local Board.<\/p>\n

Allegations were that on 3 September 2021, the accused got angry with her husband, Tafadzwa Kachepa (33), while in bed and poured boiling water over his genitals. Kachepa was fast asleep.<\/p>\n

The accused allegedly attacked her husband soon after the two had finished making love.<\/p>\n

She had accused her husband of infidelity after discovering explicit messages from a suspected girlfriend.<\/p>\n

Kachepa produced a medical affidavit as evidence of injuries he sustained on the genitals, thighs, and buttocks.<\/p>\n
