The Zimbabwe Achievers Awards UK (ZAA UK) have released the list of nominees for this year\u2019s edition, and Warriors defender Alec Mudimu is among those vying for the Sports Personality of the Year accolade.<\/p>\n
Mudimu who plays for Welsh side Cefn Druids was a key figure in the national team\u2019s successful Afcon campaign as well as the Cosafa triumph in June last year.<\/p>\n
He will go head-to-head with fellow footballers Muzzy Nduna and Chad Abrahams who play Non-League football in the UK. Rugby player Farai Mudariki and cricketer Sam Curren complete the list.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Mudimu was also named Sports Personality of the Year at the Zimbabwe Young Achievers awards \u2013 UK edition in December. The ZYA awards were created to celebrate the talent Zimbabweans are demonstrating in the UK.<\/p>\n
