{"id":71477,"date":"2022-12-25T10:28:50","date_gmt":"2022-12-25T08:28:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/methodist-church-elders-wedding-interrupted-by-secret-lover"},"modified":"2022-12-25T12:54:50","modified_gmt":"2022-12-25T10:54:50","slug":"methodist-church-elders-wedding-interrupted-by-secret-lover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.cc\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/methodist-church-elders-wedding-interrupted-by-secret-lover","title":{"rendered":"Methodist Church Elder\u2019s Wedding Interrupted By \u201cSecret Lover\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>A Methodist Church in Zimbabwe (MCZ) lay leader was on Thursday humiliated by his lover who turned up at his wedding ceremony at Waddilove High School in Marondera.<\/p>\n<p>MCZ circuit leader, Gabriel Matsiwe, and Lian Muzanenhamo\u2019s wedding was interrupted by the church leader\u2019s secret lover, only identified as Nyari.<\/p>\n<p>Nyari rose to object to the two being joined in holy matrimony by a religious marriage officer.<\/p>\n<p>Matsiwe\u2019s bride is a self-styled prophetess, popularly known as Madzimai Nunurai in Dzivaresekwa and Dema.<\/p>\n<p>As per tradition during wedding ceremonies, the marriage officer asked if any person could show just cause why the two may not be joined together.<\/p>\n<p>Nyarai stood up and told the marriage officer in front of the wedding guests that Matsiwe and her were lovers, and he had promised to pay lobola for her on Christmas Day. She said:<\/p>\n<p>Gabriel had given a date to pay lobola and never told me that he had found another lover that he is wedding today.<\/p>\n<p>He first gave my parents a date in August this year and later moved it to Christmas Day.<\/p>\n<p>Some of my relatives had already travelled for the lobola ceremony from outside the country, only for him to start giving flimsy excuses at the last minute.<\/p>\n<p>Akaudza vabereki vangu kuti aita emergency arikuda kunorova guva saka haachakwanisa kuuya kuzoroora.
