Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Premier Soccer League club Chicken Inn Football Club is set to receive more than US$21 000 from South Africa\u2019s DStv Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs over the 2019 transfer of Warriors defender Teenage Hadebe from Amakhosi to Turkish side, Yeni Malatyaspor.<\/p>\n

The two clubs were involved in a protracted dispute over a sell-on clause in Hadebe\u2019s transfer from the Gamecocks to Kaizer Chiefs.<\/p>\n

FIFA\u2019s tribunal recently ruled in favour of the 2015 Zimbabwean champions.<\/p>\n

This was after the Chicken Inn executive approached the FIFA Players\u2019 Status Committee demanding that Kaizer Chiefs pay the amount it owed the Zimbabwean club after Amakhosi sold Hadebe to Yeni Malatyaspor.<\/p>\n

The decision of the Players\u2019 Status Chamber which was passed on 8 November 2022 and signed by the football tribunal chief legal and compliance officer Emilio Garci\u0301a Silvero reads:<\/p>\n

The claim of the Claimant, Chicken Inn FC, is partially accepted. The Respondent, Kaizer Chiefs Football Club, has to pay to the Claimant, the following amount(s): USD 13,654.11 as outstanding remuneration plus 5% interest per annum as from 7 July 2021 until the date of effective payment; USD 7,724.64 as outstanding remuneration plus 5% interest per annum as from 16 January 2022 until the date of effective payment…. Full payment (including all applicable interest) shall be made to the bank account indicated in the enclosed Bank Account Registration Form.<\/p>\n

The ruling also ordered Kaizer Chiefs to pay the money within 45 days or:<\/p>\n

… the respondent shall be banned from registering any new players, either nationally or internationally, up until the due amount is paid.<\/p>\n

The maximum duration of the ban shall be of up to three entire and consecutive registration periods.<\/p>\n

Chicken Inn secretary-general Tavengwa Hara confirmed that they won the case against Kaizer Chiefs, saying \u201cIt\u2019s a victory for us as a club and we are celebrating that\u201d.<\/p>\n
