Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcast Services has told journalists who wish to cover the visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, to dress \u2018appropriately\u2019.<\/p>\n

Lukashenko arrived in Zimbabwe yesterday and will be in the country until February 1, on a historic state visit.<\/p>\n

An official from the Information Ministry said in a statement that all female journalists wishing to cover the Belarusian head of state should not wear \u2018revealing\u2019 clothes while male media practitioners were advised to tuck-in their shirts as it is a formal event.<\/p>\n

Reads the statement:<\/p>\n

As you may be aware the nation will host the Head of State from Belarus,\u201d read the statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is therefore imperative that as the media fraternity, we do our duty & cover the activities that will be soon availed to us in due course.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut meanwhile & whilst we wait for the programme, I urge you who wish to cover activities that shall take place at the State House to…dress appropriately at all times.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo casual wear soccer jerseys political regalia. Males tuck in & jacket is encouraged because it\u2019s a formal event.<\/p>\n

\u201cFemales no revealing clothes but anything descent.<\/p>\n

Lukashenko had a private dinner with his Zimbabwe counterpart President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House last night.<\/p>\n
