{"id":73823,"date":"2023-02-09T16:47:59","date_gmt":"2023-02-09T14:47:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/chamisa-is-the-most-popular-will-win-2023-elections-london-based-researchers-conclude"},"modified":"2023-02-09T20:26:36","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T18:26:36","slug":"chamisa-is-the-most-popular-will-win-2023-elections-london-based-researchers-conclude","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.cc\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/chamisa-is-the-most-popular-will-win-2023-elections-london-based-researchers-conclude","title":{"rendered":"Chamisa Is The Most Popular, Will Win 2023 Elections, London-Based Researchers Conclude"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>A survey conducted by London-based researchers Sabi Strategy Group has concluded that Nelson Chamisa is the most popular Presidential candidate in Zimbabwe and is likely to win the 2023 elections.<\/p>\n<p>Chamisa, who leads the recently-formed opposition Citizens Coalition for Change, will arguably be President Emmerson Mnangagwa\u2018s biggest challenger in the decisive poll, which will be held this year.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the crucial election, Sabi conducted a \u2018phone survey\u2019 between 18 and 27 January, in which they had 15-minute questionnaires with 1000 registered voters.<\/p>\n<p>The survey, which Sabi claims 75% of the 1000 registered voters confirmed they will vote, saw Chamisa winning with 53%, while Mnangagwa got 40%.<\/p>\n<p>Other candidates shared the remaining 7%.<\/p>\n<p>Self-exiled former Higher and Tertiary Education Minister Proffesor Jonathan Moyo rubished the survey and urged the Chamisa-led CCC not get excited because of it. He said on Twitter:<\/p>\n<p>IT\u2019S A FATAL DESPERATION to pin hopes on a phoney \u2018PHONE SURVEY\u2019 of \u20181,000 registered voters\u2019 in Zim done from London by a group paid by Brenthurst Foundation, founded and funded by the meddlesome Oppenheimer family!<\/p>\n<p>Who gave them 1,000 phone numbers of registered voters?<\/p>\n<p>London\u2019s allegedly independent \u2018Sabi Strategy Group\u2019 paid to do the phoney \u2018PHONE SURVEY\u2019, it fraudulently presented as \u2018FIELDWORK\u2019, as it smiled to the bank with dirty Oppenheimer money is in fact a partner of Brenthurst Foundation, and is thus not independentat all.
