Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Harare City Council (HCC)<\/b> has issued a list of documents required from operators of commuter omnibuses (kombis) before their vehicles are allowed on the roads.<\/p>\n

In a notice seen by Pindula News, the local government authority said kombis need 10 documents for them to be allowed to ply Harare routes. Reads the notice:<\/p>\n

City of Harare wishes to inform kombi operators that the following are the documents required for them to register and operate in Harare<\/p>\n

1. Registration Book<\/p>\n

2. Valid Certificate of Fitness 3<\/p>\n

. Operators Licence<\/p>\n

4. Valid Motor Vehicle Insurance<\/p>\n

5. Valid Passenger Insurance 6. Proof of payment from City of harare for Route Authority Letter<\/p>\n

7. The operator shall submit the Authority letter obtained above to the Ministry of Transport where the Operator is issued with a Route Authority Permit<\/p>\n

8.The operator shall submit the Authority Letter and Route Authority\/ Permit to City of Harare Finance Department to be issued with a Rank Disk<\/p>\n

9. The operator shall always display the Authority Letter, Route Authority and Rank Disk in his\/her vehicle at all times<\/p>\n

10. The Operator shall adhere to the Rank and route given on the permits<\/p>\n
