Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Gogo Maina Mawoneyi Mafume, the mother of Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume<\/b>, has died.<\/p>\n

Harare City Council (HCC) said Gogo Mafume died in the early morning of 17 March 2023 at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals<\/b> after a long battle with heart disease.<\/p>\n

The local government authority said mourners are gathered at number 1873 Mt Pleasant, Harare. Reads a statement by Harare City Council:<\/p>\n

Deputy Mayor Councillor Luckmore Mukunguma, Councillors, Acting Town Clerk Eng Phakamile Mabhena Moyo, Management and City of Harare staff would like to express their deepest condolences to Mayor Cllr Jacob Mafume, family and friends following the untimely death of Gogo Maina Mawoneyi Mafume (mother to Mayor Mafume).<\/p>\n

Gogo Mafume passed on early morning of 17 March, 2023 at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals after a long battle with a heart disease.<\/p>\n

Mourners are gathered at Number 1873 Mt Pleasant, Harare.<\/p>\n

She will be laid to rest at Village Mbetu, Chief Charumbira in Masvingo.<\/p>\n

May Her Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.<\/p>\n
