Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Hubert Mudzanire<\/b> alias Uebert Angel<\/b>, the founder of the Spirit Embassy, The Good News Church, has said he has the authority to sign deals and treaties with other countries on behalf of Zimbabwe without consulting President Mnangagwa.<\/p>\n

On 17 March 2021, Uebert Angel was appointed Presidential Envoy and Ambassador at Large for Europe and the Americas. Angel was appointed to seek trade and investment opportunities.<\/p>\n

In an Al Jazeera documentary \u2013 Gold Mafia<\/b> \u2013 which is an expose on corruption and looting in the mining sector, Angel said as a plenipotentiary, he has full authorisation to sign a treaty or convention on behalf of President Mnangagwa.<\/p>\n

He made the remarks while talking to a delegation of one Mr Stanley, an undercover Al Jazeera reporter who was investigating illicit financial flows in Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n

His remarks were meant to assure Mr Stanley that his word was binding.<\/p>\n

Mr Stanley pretended to have huge sums of dirty money which he needed to be cleaned.<\/p>\n

Angel said it was possible as he had signed such deals before.<\/p>\n

He then called Henrietta Rushwaya, President Mnangagwa\u2019s niece and President of the Zimbabwe Mining Federation.<\/p>\n

Rushwaya agreed<\/b> and offered to sell 100kgs of gold at a 4% per cent discount.<\/p>\n

If Mr Stanley wanted to clean US$10 million, he would pay US$5 to Fidelity Printers and Refineries, a subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n

Fidelity would keep the money for the duration of the relationship between Zimbabwe and Mr Stanley. The remaining US$5 million would be used to buy gold.<\/p>\n
