Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Newly-crowned 2023 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions Ngezi Platinum Stars have appointed Amanda Nyazero as their new Chief Executive Officer.<\/p>\n

Nyazero replaces Yvonne Mapika Manwa<\/b> who was hired by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) in the same capacity.<\/p>\n

Nyazero\u2019s appointment was confirmed by the team\u2019s media liaison officer, Roberta Katunga through a press statement. Said Katunga:<\/p>\n

Ngezi Platinum Stars Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Nyazero as the Club\u2019s new Chief Executive Officer.<\/p>\n

Nyazero takes over from Yvonne Manwa Mapika, who left the Club in October.
\nShe holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) Degree from the University of Zimbabwe and is in her final year pursuing a PhD in Governance, boasts of a wealth of both financial and administrative experience having served as an executive accountant at the Graca Machel Trust for seven years.<\/p>\n

Her good financial acumen which not only echoes the Club\u2019s sustainable growth ambitions is important for sound administration, while her experience on inclusivity and empowerment aligns with Ngezi Platinum\u2019s vision of building a strong brand with strong grassroots development.<\/p>\n

The Board, Executives and all the Supporters of Madamburo are excited to welcome Amanda on board and wish her well as she embarks on her new role of leading the Club\u2019s critical strategic function.<\/p>\n

Nyazero will be key in heading the Club\u2019s secretariat, upholding the Club culture, developing strategies and ensuring a holistic and sustainable development of the Club as we seek to establish an institution that will outlive all of us, and as we transcend to the next level of football administration.<\/p>\n

Ngezi Platinum, who are based in Mhondoro, became the first club from Mashonaland West Province to win the Castle Lager Premiership when they came from behind to beat Simba Bhora 2-1 last weekend.<\/p>\n
