Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Citizens\u2019 Coalition for Change (CCC) activist, Sengezo Tshabangu, who claims to be the party\u2019s interim secretary general, has warned CCC MPs against \u201crowdy\u201d behaviour in the August House.<\/p>\n

This comes after CCC lawmakers were ejected from the National Assembly last week for allegedly disturbing the swearing-in ceremony of nine new constituency legislators.<\/p>\n

The CCC legislators were protesting the presence of ZANU PF\u2019s Pedzai Sakupwanya who was elected unopposed in Mabvuku-Tafara after CCC candidate Munyaradzi Febion Kufahakutizwi, who defeated the former in the 23 August elections, was barred from the 09 December polls by the courts.<\/p>\n

Tshabangu filed a court application to prevent Kufahakutizwi and the other eight MPs he recalled in October to be barred from participating in the by-elections. The High Court granted his application.<\/p>\n

Speaking to ZBC News, Tshabangu said some CCC legislators needed to be \u201cput in line\u201d. He said:<\/p>\n

It\u2019s uncalled for and we will certainly be engaging Parliament. We know what is lacking in Parliament is leadership and we will be engaging the Parliament caucas.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure a few individuals need to be put into line because they believe Parliament is still the fighting space where you can throw stones.<\/p>\n

Police were called to force the CCC MPs out of the Parliament building after they sang in protest.<\/p>\n

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Jacob Mudenda, also barred the ejected lawmakers from the next four sittings for \u201cunparliamentary behaviour\u201d.<\/p>\n

Tshabangu has been receiving favourable coverage by State media since he started recalling CCC\u2019s representatives from Parliament and councils.<\/p>\n

CCC leader Nelson Chamisa and his supporters claim Tshabangu is an imposter working with ZANU PF to destroy opposition in Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n

Tshabangu has rejected the claims and recently claimed he is on speaking terms with Chamisa.<\/p>\n
