Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>The itel P55 has launched in Zimbabwe. The phone was launched at an event in Harare attended by brand\u2019s officials, itel distributors, and dealers in Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n

This is the latest phone in the itel P Series feature major upgrades to the memory, camera, charging and general design of the phone. For the first time, an itel phone will have 5G network version.<\/p>\n

The phone will be available in Zimbabwe in the first week of the new year, 2024.<\/p>\n

Pindula spoke to itel Southern Region Marketing Manager, Pegnef Nyangaidenzvi, who said about the new P55:<\/p>\n

In Zimbabwe, the P55 Series is coming in 3 versions namely P55+, P55 (5G), and P55.
\nFrom its predecessor series P40, the P55 series has improved on memory, charging speed specifically the P55+ which has 45W charging speed. You will remember that the P40 series only went up to 18W.<\/p>\n

The P55 also has significantly improved camera quality in the Itel P Series family line. In addition, the P55+ will be the first P Series to have 256gig Storage.<\/p>\n

Itel P55 charging improvements<\/b><\/p>\n

The battery and charging on the P55+ is one major improvement. The specs suggest the phone will be charged from empty to completion within 1 hours, 10 minutes and that changes have been made to prevent over-heating.<\/p>\n

Nyangaidenzvi said one standout improvement are the charging features:<\/p>\n

We now have a Power Charge function. This is an exclusive function only available on P55+. It works with high efficiency charging without overheating issues occurring.<\/p>\n

As more people are becoming heavy users of mobile phones there is an increasing demand of fast charging phones.<\/p>\n

There are 3 levels of charging charging and by choosing different charging modes it helps to reduce power consumption and improve battery life and also ensuring customer safety when charging (overheating issues)<\/p>\n

P55 Price in Zimbabwe<\/b><\/p>\n

The pricing of the P55 phones is not available yet. But infromation we have suggests it will be priced to compete favourably with phones such as the Tecno Spark 20 and Redmi 13c.<\/p>\n
