Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Internationally renowned DJ Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo, was recovering from surgery after sustaining “severe blows” to his body during a “severe travel accident”<\/b> on his private plane, Daily Mail<\/b> reported.<\/p>\n

Per the publication, the DJ was hospitalised in a Uruguayan hospital following the incident, which happened on Sunday while travelling from Brazil to Argentina.<\/p>\n

The plane had to make an emergency landing at Montevideo Airport due to severe air turbulence.<\/p>\n

Billboard<\/b> reported he was travelling to Argentina to play at a show at nightclub Mute.<\/p>\n

News broke on Wednesday evening when his team shared a statement on social media, saying, “The incident resulted in unforeseen complications and left him with some injuries”.<\/p>\n

“We can confirm that he is receiving the best possible medical attention and is surrounded by a supportive family and team.”<\/p>\n

The team said he was optimistic and recovering well, adding that he looked forward to returning to his supporters “very soon”.<\/p>\n
