Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) reporter Hector Murombedzi has died.<\/p>\n

He was 53.<\/p>\n

Murombedzi died at the Suburban Medical Centre in Warren Park, Harare on Monday afternoon (15 January), reported ZBC News.<\/p>\n

He joined ZBC in 1997 as a camera person before he was assigned to be sub-editor on the radio news on the English desk.<\/p>\n

Murombedzi later joined the reporters\u2019 pool where he was appointed Mashonaland Central Province Bureau Chief.<\/p>\n

He then retraced his footsteps to the Radio News Desk as Sub-Editor, a position he held until his death.<\/p>\n

Mourners were gathered at House Number 5-27th Crescent, Warren Park 1, Harare.<\/p>\n

Murombedzi is survived by his wife Joyce and two children.<\/p>\n
