Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>ZANU PF President and First Secretary Emmerson Mnangagwa has demoted Mike Bimha from the position of party Political Commissar to an ordinary member of the Politburo.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued on Monday evening, ZANU PF Secretary General, Obert Mpofu, also announced several other reassignments in the Politburo.<\/p>\n

He said Jacob Mudenda, the Speaker of the National Assembly, has been moved from has been re-assigned to be the Party\u2019s Treasurer General, taking over from Patrick Chinamasa, who is now ZANU PF\u2019s Secretary for Legal Affairs.<\/p>\n

Munyaradzi Machacha, who was the Principal of the Chitepo School of Ideology, has replaced Bimha as the ZANU PF Political Commissar. Reads the statement:<\/p>\n

His Excellency, the President and First Secretary of the Party Cde Dr ED Mnangagwa has made the following re-assignments to the revolutionary ruling Party\u2019s Politburo portfolios with immediate effect:<\/p>\n

1. Cde Adv J.F. Mudenda has been re-assigned to be the Party\u2019s Treasurer General. He was formerly the Party\u2019s Secretary for Legal Affairs.<\/p>\n

2. Cde M. Machacha has been re-assigned to be the Party\u2019s Secretary for Commissariat. He was formerly the Revolutionary Party\u2019s Principal of the Chitepo School of Ideology.<\/p>\n

3. Cde P.A. Chinamasa has been re-assigned to be the Party\u2019s Secretary for Legal Affairs. He was formerly the Party\u2019s Treasurer General.<\/p>\n

4. Cde Dr M.C Bimha who was the Party\u2019s Secretary for Commissariat remains a Politburo Member.<\/p>\n

The ZANU PF Politburo is the highest decision-making body outside of the party congress and plays a crucial role in shaping the party\u2019s policies and direction.<\/p>\n
