Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Former Chelsea and Manchester City full-back Wayne Bridge has said he did not find life difficult playing against Cristiano Ronaldo.<\/p>\n

While he coped with the Portuguese, the Englishman said he suffered against Aaron Lennon and Shaun Wright-Phillips.<\/p>\n

Bridge said Ronaldo was not at his best when the two faced off.<\/p>\n

\u201cPersonally, Aaron Lennon and Shaun Wright-Phillips [were my toughest opponents],\u201d he told talkSPORT.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were so quick. Quick off the mark. Such tough games. Where they are so quick over five yards and you give them a kick and they just bounce off of the floor.<\/p>\n

\u201cAaron Lennon was a great player for Tottenham,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether it was his end product or he didn\u2019t get enough goals, maybe some people don\u2019t think he was. I played against Cristiano Ronaldo but I wouldn\u2019t say he was at his best.<\/p>\n

He was a winger, he was tricky, you always had to stay switched on. But I always did alright against him. He can make you look stupid maybe with a nutmeg or too many stepovers and you can fall over,\u201d Bridge added.<\/p>\n

The former England defender played against Cristiano Ronaldo eight times in his career and managed to win thrice while losing twice.<\/p>\n
