The accident reportedly occurred just before the tollgate on the Bulawayo-Beitbridge Highway.<\/p>\n<p>The school bus was reportedly carrying 56 students and was returning from rugby tournament at St George\u2019s College in Harare.<\/p>\n<p>What caused the accident has not been revealed but reports say it occurred at a placed known to be a \u201cdark spot\u201d. The stretch of road is reportedly even referred to as \u2018Danger\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The school released a statement:<\/p>\n<p>Following the initial communication sent out, it is with deepest sadness that I write to advise you of the passing of Aidan O\u2019Donovan (Upper Sixth, Tredgold) in the bus accident this afternoon. There are no adequate words at a time like this, and we are all deeply affected.<\/p>\n<p>We have chartered a flight for Aidan and Lana\u2019s parents, and they are en route to Bulawayo now. Please keep the O\u2019Donovan family, and everyone who loved Aidan in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley Wentzel suffered a broken arm and is at the Mater Dei hospital in Bulawayo with his parents. There are a few children and staff with minor cuts and injuries. They are also at the Mater Dei being treated and checked out.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Kirkman will issue a further statement as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>We appreciate that many of you will want to send condolences and messages to Mr Kirkman and the O\u2019Donovan family.
